Aug 18 – 25: Closure on Linden Drive

Linden Drive Road Closure and Detour Alert

Utility work for the School of Human Ecology Project will require the closing of Linden Drive in front of the Nutritional Science Building. The road will be closed starting Wednesday, August 18th and reopen Wednesday, the 25th of August. During most of this time access to Lorch Street and the eastern end of the Nutritional Sciences driveway will be maintained. Access to the Middleton Building and the Hygiene Building will not be affected. Access to Lots 21, 23, 28, and 30 will be maintained.

Through traffic, including buses, will be detoured to Observatory Drive between Charter Street and Babcock Drive.

June 19: WIAA Softball Tournament

The WIAA Softball Tournament starts at 10:00am on June 19th.  Game times are: 10:00am, 12:30pm, 3:00pm & 5:30pm

Event day parking is available in lots 60 & 76 starting at 7:00am.  There is no charge.

The WIAA Softball Tournament starts at 9:00am on June 17th.  Game times are: 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 6:00pm & 8:00pm

Event day parking is available in lots 60 & 76 starting at 7:00am.  The cost is $5.

New Park and Bike Option

On Monday, June 7 Alan Fish from UW-Madison and Tim Erdman of Erdman Holdings, Inc. launched a pilot Park and Bike location just 2.4 miles from campus.

The park and bike offers free indoor bike parking and car parking for anyone who wishes to leave their car and finish their commute by bike.  For complete information about the park and bike, including amenities, directions, and more, visit our website.

June 7: New Park and Bike Launch

Join Alan Fish and Tim Erdman as they lead the way to campus from the new Erdman Park and Bike pilot on Monday, June 7 at 7:30 AM from .  

Located on Whitney Way between University Avenue and Old Middleton Road, the Park and Bike will provide free car parking and indoor, secure bike storage (complete with top-of-the-line racks from Saris) for commuters.  Details, including turn by turn directions from the Park and Bike to campus are available on UW Transportation Services Park and Ride webpage.

Experience the freedom of carless streets during Madison’s Ride the Drive event. 

RIDE THE DRIVE is a celebration of Madison’s commitment to healthy, active lifestyles. This community event is an invitation for all citizens to leave their cars behind to experience some of Madison’s most scenic byways a whole new way – by riding, walking, skating, or strolling along some of our city’s most beautiful streets.
